100 Women Project

It鈥檚 hard to believe a year has gone by since we last started planning the 100 Women Breakfast honoring our scholarship winners and thanking our donors who make the scholarships possible.

As you may know, the 100 Women Scholarship Project raises money to fund scholarships for women returning to college after their education was interrupted for any reason. We began by asking 100 women to donate $100 a year to the fund. Your generosity has allowed the scholarships to increase from one $500 award a year to twelve $1,000 scholarships in 2025.

The 2025 winners were an outstanding group with amazing backgrounds and stories of tragedy, recovery and aspiration. We have a courageous victim of trafficking who is working toward advocacy and support for other trafficking victims. And we have an enterprising 38-year-old woman who has been a dog groomer for 18 years and is majoring in business so she can build her own grooming business to provide financial security for her family. Several women, themselves immigrants, are studying different areas to help other immigrants find their way. Then, we have a 44-year-old mother of a profoundly disabled child who, in her own words, 鈥渆xisted only as a mom for 16 years, forgetting that I am an entire person, smart and capable.鈥 She maintains 鈥渁 4.0 GPA while balancing the needs of family and work.鈥

This year, instead of one main speaker, we are inviting the winners to tell their stories in person, so you can see and hear how extraordinary they are. We will have a delicious breakfast prepared by our culinary students under the direction of Chef Martin Kester to enjoy while greeting old friends and meeting new ones.

Please join us this Women鈥檚 History Month in the Atrium on March 18, 2026, at 9:00am to honor our scholarship winners and hear their stories. This event is always a sellout, so be sure to Register as noted on the enclosed invitation and bring a friend. We look forward to seeing you on March 18, 2026.

Very truly yours,

Lorraine C. Parker, Founder and Chair of the 100 Women Project
