The Elementary Secondary Education program at SCCC is for students who are interested in pursuing a career in teaching at the elementary or secondary level. By providing a solid foundation of general education and teaching courses, students will have the necessary knowledge and skills to transfer into a four-year institution's bachelor's degree program and pursue teacher certification.

Students can complete their Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education without leaving the SCCC campus. Through a partnership with Ramapo College of New Jersey, students have the opportunity to start at SCCC, earn their associate degree, and seamlessly continue on to complete their bachelor’s degree — all in one convenient location.
